Thatching or more appropriately “de-thatching” is the removal of dead grass and moss. Like Aerating, the best time to de-thatch is in the spring during the rainy season. With thatch removed, air, water, nutrients, herbicides and pesticides can do their job more efficiently.

Crane Flies can be found in parts of the American Northwest, Northeast, and also parts of Michigan. The Crane Fly can be a big problem in the Seattle area! Approximately 10% of the lawns that we work on suffer from crane fly infestation.
